How much our Father in heaven wishes to give the Spirit to those who ask Him!

A Daily Prayer
Holy Spirit Come!
Come, Holy Spirit, Soul of my soul,
I praise and glorify you. Enlighten, guide, strengthen
And console me. Show me what to do
And help me to do it.
I hope to use well any gifts You may bestow upon me
And to accept all You allow to happen to me.
Only show me your will. Amen
Holy Spirit Dwell Within Me!
Your Body is a shrine of the
Holy Spirit, who dwells within you.
Holy Spirit, come! Come into my innermost being;
Dwell
within me, share my life. Spirit of the living God!
You are holiness itself, Yet in deepest humility
You wish to share with me. Yes, you
seek to dwell
In hearts that seek you; You wish to share your love
With all the world. I open the door of my heart to
You. I seek your presence Amen
Come, Holy Spirit fill our hearts.
Enkindle in us the fire of your love. Send forth your
gifts
of grace and we will be renewed

Holy Spirit Come Fill me with the joy of your presence
No matter how dull and drear The days may seem,
You bring such delight You bring gifts, life-giving gifts,
Overflowing, springs of living water welling up to eternal life!
Let me drink my fill, fill me to the uttermost
With
all that is good and worthy all that is noble and just,
So that I may always delight in you with those I meet in life. Amen

Holy Spirit Be My Friend
The fellowship of the Holy Spirit
Be with you. (2 Cor 13:14)
Holy Spirit, come! Come and befriend me!
I wish to know you as my friend the friend at my side, my Advocate,
My adviser, my support the friend I turn to in need,
The one to share my worries and all the anxieties
that mount up,
The friend I trust in, who understands and cares about me.
I ask you to be the friend I carry in my heart
So that I can share with you in peace,
A friendship that can grow a friendship that can last forever.
Come, Holy Spirit fill our hearts.

Holy Spirit Create Me Anew!
The fruit of the Sprit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
Holy Spirit, come!
Create me anew in mind and heart
So that instead of
being cheerless I can share a joyful smile with others;
Instead of being self-centred I can show
love and kindness.
Holy Spirit, I want to change but I find it so hard. I need your help!
I want to be more understanding more patient and gentle with others.
I want to rejoice in goodness sweep
like a refreshing wind
Sweep away my selfishness, my pride that I may be filled with peace. Amen
Come Holy Spirit, fill our hearts

Holy Spirit Enlighten Me
The Holy Spirit will teach you Everything.
He will be my witness.
Holy Spirit, come enlighten me with understanding,
Illumine my soul, shine the brightness
of your holiness into my heart.
Spirit of Truth confirm me in faith, in the knowledge
That Jesus the Lord is truly risen. Confirm me in hope,
In the knowledge that Jesus has truly prepared a place
For us in his eternal glory. Confirm me in love
In the knowledge that Jesus Truly loves me.
Spirit of Truth, confirm my heart!

Holy Spirit, Guide Me!
When the Spirit comes he will guide you into all truth.
Holy Spirit, come!
Guide me with your wisdom! There are so many voices, that
seek to gain our minds and hearts! I don’t want to be swayed away
By opinions that are here today
and gone tomorrow!
Point me on the way to Christ. Come, Spirit of Truth,
Guide my way that I may not be lost.
Guide my mind that I may not be
deceived.
Guide my heart that I may find my true self
And my true destiny.
Amen.

Holy Spirit, Strengthen Me!
The Holy Spirit comes to Help Us in
our weakness.
Holy Spirit, come!
I need your support in so many ways, often just to get through the day.
Often I feel so inadequate for meeting all life’s demands.
Holy Spirit, help me to cope! To have the strength never to give in,
but to grow ever stronger in faith!
Promise of the Father, when the Apostles were afraid
You came to them and filled them with confidence and strength.
Holy Spirit come down on me also. Strengthen me with that confidence
So that I too may be ready to shareYour love with others. Amen
Come, Holy Spirit fill our hearts...Repeat
Holy Spirit, come! Come and help me.
When we
are downhearted you comfort us and lift us up;
When we are tempted to despair; you encourage us;
When we are full of anxieties you ease our troubled spirits;
When we suffer hurts
from others You pour your healing balm over us;
When we falter on the path of virtue you encourage
us to keep trying!
Come Spirit of all consolation, And revive me. Amen.
